An Injector PoE adds electric energy to a device that has PoE capability. It combines the power supply and Ethernet cable so that data and power are sent simultaneously via the cable to devices like IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points. In instances where the network switch on the site lacks POE capability but needs POE enable devices powered up, POE injectors come in handy. For instance, POI injectors can activate IP cameras during a security system upgrade in older office buildings that use non-PoE systems which have been transitioned to Ethernet cables replacing the need for rewiring which would be very difficult.
